Know the Will of God
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV) This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Matthew 17:15-18 (NIV) “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “You unbelieving [apistos: to reject God’s inbirthing of faith] and perverse [to distort or misinterpret] generation,” . . . . Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.
Our experiences do not reveal God’s will. It is the Word of God that reveals the will of God.
Mark 8:23-25 (NLT) Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?” The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.” Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly.
- What do you do if a disciple can’t help you?
- What do you do if your miracle isn’t instant?
Answer: Build a relationship with Christ the Healer.
1 Corinthians 2:10-14 (NLT) It was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets . . . . And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us . . . . But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit.
Judges 2:1 (ERV) The angel spoke a message from the Lord to the people of Israel. This was the message: “I brought you out of Egypt. I led you to the land that I promised to give.
Exodus 15:13 (GNT) Faithful to your promise, you led the people you had rescued; by your strength you guided them to your sacred land.
HARMONIZE WITH GOD’S WILL
John 2:1-8 (NKJV) On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.
