What Am I Willing To Suffer?
Acts 9:15-16 (LDB) Go! I have chosen [you] to carry My name before the Gentiles, their kings, and the people of Israel. Now I will show [you] how much [you] must suffer because of the stand [you] will take for me.
We are often presented with the blessings of God, without ever mentioning suffering for God. Don’t misunderstand me. God wants you blessed!
3 John 1:2 (KJV) I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) God hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Mark 10:29-30 (TPT) Anyone who leaves his home behind and chooses me over children, parents, family, and possessions, all for the sake of [spreading] the gospel, it will come back to him a hundred times as much in this lifetime—homes, family, mothers, brothers, sisters, children, possessions—along with persecutions. And in the age to come, he will inherit eternal life.
God wants you blessed, but Satan wants you silenced. The goal of persecution is to silence the church.
If a Christian is not having tribulation in the world, there’s something wrong! — Leonard Ravenhill
- We don’t follow Jesus because life will be easier.
- We follow Jesus because He is the way, truth, and life.
- We follow Jesus because we love Him.
- The road is not always easy, but it is always worth it.
The American church wants an awakening! Something the persecuted church is already experiencing. Sadly, we want it without the cost. But you cannot have an awakening without it costing something.
God wants you blessed! But . . .
- If God never promised healing, would you still serve Him?
- If God never promised prosperity, is Jesus alone worth it?
The persecuted church has answered those questions with an outstanding, “YES!” JESUS ALONE IS WORTH IT!
Doing the work of God is dangerous. Not doing His work is more dangerous. — Sabina Wurmbrand
We have experienced great prosperity here in America. Our “Founding Fathers” knew you cannot have freedom without Christian virtue.
We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future . . . upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves . . . according to the Ten Commandments of God — James Madison
Meanwhile, the 10 Commandments are being removed from our schools, colleges, court rooms, and government buildings. When people lose their virtue they lose their ability to self-govern; which leads to a greater need for governmental control. It also leads to the loss of freedoms.
There is only ONE hope for America . . . THE CHURCH!
Big government is not needed when people are self-governing; living their lives according to the 10 Commandments.
The Church has to get back to what is important! And it’s not all God’s blessings! The more important question is, “What am I willing to suffer so the Kingdom of God can advance!”
I’m not in this for the blessings. I’m in this because Jesus alone is worth it!
