Endure till the End Part 1

Endure till the End Part 1

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

Romans 9:15-16 (LDB) God told Moses, “I will be merciful to whomever I wish. If I wish to show kindness to someone, I will. This shows that it was not we who had intense desire and put forth great effort to be saved, but it was God, who continually shows how merciful He is.

Titus 3:4-7 (NIV) When the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

  • Nothing can separate us from God’s love (Rom. 8:38-39).
  • Nothing can pluck us out of God’s hand (John 10:27-29).
  • God will never cast us away (John 6:37).
  • God opened a door no one can shut (Revelation 3:8).

2 Peter 3:17 (GNT) Be on your guard, then, so that you will not be led away by the errors of lawless people and fall from your safe [secure] position.

Hebrews 3:14 (BARLEE) We are made partakers of Christ [of the glory of his reward,] if we fall not away from our profession, but continue our confidence [faith] unto the end.

Hebrews 10:37-38 (VOICE) As the prophet Habakkuk said, In a little while . . . the One who is coming will come without delay. But My righteous one must live by faith, for if he gives up his commitment, My soul will have no pleasure in him.

Hebrews 3:12 (NIV) See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.

  • God rewards all who stay committed to Him.
  • If we give up our faith, we give up our reward.

Luke 8:13 (CJB) The ones on rock are those who, when they hear the word, accept it with joy; but these have no root — they go on trusting for awhile; but when a time of testing comes, they apostatize.

James 5:19-20 (TLB) Dear brothers, if anyone has slipped away from God and no longer trusts the Lord and someone helps him understand the Truth again, that person who brings him back to God will have saved a wandering soul from death, bringing about the forgiveness of his many sins.

  • Peter denied Jesus three times, but did not die in that condition.
  • Peter repented, repeated the test, and passed it.
  • Judas died without repenting. He was the only one Jesus lost (John 17:12)

Hebrews 10:32-37 (NLT) Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever. So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.”

Mark 13:13 (TLB) . . . all who endure to the end without renouncing me shall be saved.

Revelation 3:5 (CW) He who overcomes [endures to the end] will be dressed in my righteousness. I will not take his name out of the Book of Life, but will acknowledge him by name before my Father.

2 Timothy 2:12 (NIV) If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us.

1 John 5:11-12 (NIV) God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
