THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Galatians 5:16 (LDB) I challenge you to think, speak, and act in obedience to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Then you won’t be in any danger of gratifying any selfish or wrongful [fleshly] desire.
I challenge you to think, speak, and act in obedience to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (JOHN) When anyone turns to Christ, the veil is removed . . . . This is God’s Spirit at work and wherever the Spirit of God operates, he sets persons free. With the veil lifted from our eyes we see the ultimate purpose of God reflected in Christ, and as we keep this vision before us we are continually transformed by it. We move from one area of fulfillment to another as the Spirit acts upon us.
. . . All of us . . . can behold the Lord’s glory by the Spirit and God’s Word. Little by little we are transformed so that we reflect the Lord’s likeness. This transformation is brought about by the Lord Who is the Spirit. – LOVETT
Transformation happens as we spend time in God’s presence.
John 15:5-8 (NIV) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers . . . . If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Matthew 12:35 (NKJV) A good man [empowered by God—remaining in] out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man [toiling alone—living apart] out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
God is the source for everything we need. We are complete in Him.
Colossians 2:10 (NKJV) You are complete [liberally supplied] in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Galatians 3:5 (NOG) Does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you through your own efforts [toiling alone] or through believing what you heard [remaining in]?
Whatever captures your heart captures your life.
Colossians 3:1 (Barclay) If then you have been raised to life with Christ, your heart must be set on the great realities of that heavenly sphere, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Matthew 5:8 (MSG) You’re blessed when you get your inside world–your mind and heart–put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
Luke 6:45 (VOICE) A person full of goodness in his heart produces good things; a person with an evil reservoir in his heart pours out evil things. The heart overflows in the words a person speaks; your words reveal what’s within your heart.
1 Timothy 4:15 (NKJV) Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
You will progress when you think, speak, and act in obedience to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 1:15 (CW) Become rooted in Him, build your lives on Him and strengthen your faith in Him as you’ve been taught. Do all this gladly, overflowing with thanksgiving.
