WORKING TOGETHER WITH GOD
The Gospels are filled with the miracles of Jesus. Jesus’s miracles teach us:
- We’re not limited by what we see in this life.
- We don’t have to be victims to our circumstances.
Psalms 103:6 (MSG) GOD makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet.
- Impossibilities are possible when we believe.
Mark 9:23 (AMP) All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts [in Me]!
Miracles teaches us that the spiritual realm has the power to change the natural realm.
1 Corinthians 3:9 (PHILLIPS) In this work, we work with God, and that means that you are a field under God’s cultivation, or, if you like, a house being built to his plan.
The Bible records over 20 individual miracles in Jesus’s life; giving us insight on how we can work together with God.
John 2:1-5 (NIV) A wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Key #1: Whatever Jesus says, do it!
John 2:6-7 (NIV) Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.
Key #2: Fully surrender! Don’t do it half way.
John 2:8-9 (NIV) Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.
Key #3: Face your fear. Take the leap of faith.
John 2:10-11Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Key #4: Don’t settle for good, and miss God’s best.
THE LEADINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
John 14:16-17 (TPT) I will ask the Father and he will give you another Helper, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you.
Whatever He says to you, do it! He’ll walk you into a miracle.
- Phillip – Acts 8:29 – Go attach yourself to that chariot.
- Peter – Acts 10:19-20 – Go with these three men.
John 16:13-14 (LBP) The Spirit will come, full of truth, and will lead you by the hand into the pathways of truth. The Spirit does not speak independently, but on my behalf. Through the Spirit, I will let you know what is going to happen and what it all means. I will be honored by everything the Spirit says, because they are my words delivered to you.
