Signs of the Times Simplified Part 2

Signs of the Times Simplified Part 2

  • Jesus had to come to us before he could come into us.
  • He will soon come for us so he can come back with us.
  • There has to be a rapture BEFORE a return!

1 Thessalonians 4:15-16; 5:1-3, 9 (TPT) This is the word of the Lord: we who are alive in him and remain on earth when the Lord appears [rapture] will by no means have an advantage over those who have already died, for both will rise together. For the Lord himself will appear with the declaration of victory, the shout of an archangel, and the trumpet blast of God . . . . Now, beloved brothers and sisters, concerning the question of God’s precise times and specific seasons, you don’t need me to write anything to you. For you already know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly and as a complete surprise. For while some are saying, “Finally we have peace and security,” sudden destruction will arrive at their doorstep, like labor pains seizing a pregnant woman—and with no chance of escape . . . . God has not destined us to experience wrath but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.

Sin destroys lives. It has far reaching impacts into the lives of others that we are not aware of. Sin steals, kills and destroys. God is loving, but God is also just. Sin must be paid for.

  • You can accept Jesus’s payment for your sins.
  • You can reject Jesus and pay for your sins yourself.

Romans 5:8-9 (EXB) God ·shows [demonstrates; proves] his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners. And since we have now been ·made right with God [declared righteous; justified] by the blood of Christ’s death, we will surely also be saved through Christ from ·God’s anger [final punishment; the wrath].

The Gospel isn’t just life or death; it’s righteousness or wrath.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 (ESV) Wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

The Church must be raptured before the Judgment of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1,3-8 (NCV) Brothers and sisters, we have something to say about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the time when we will meet together with him [rapture] . . . . That day of the Lord [second coming] will not come until the turning away from God happens and the Man of Evil, who is on his way to hell, appears. He will be against and put himself above any so-called god or anything that people worship. And that Man of Evil will even go into God’s Temple and sit there and say that he is God. I told you when I was with you that all this would happen. Do you not remember? And now you know what is stopping that Man of Evil so he will appear at the right time. The secret power of evil is already working in the world, but there is one who is stopping that power. And he will continue to stop it until he is taken out of the way. Then that Man of Evil will appear.

The Church must be raptured before the Antichrist appears.

  • Enoch – Gentile – Relationship
  • Elijah – Jew – Repentance

Jeremiah 30:3, 7, 22-23 (ESV) For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it . . . . ” 7 Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it . . . . 22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.” Behold the storm of the Lord! Wrath has gone forth, a whirling tempest; it will burst upon the head of the wicked.

Matthew 24:15-16 (NIV) When you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains . . . .

Revelation 7:3-14 (LDB) Wait! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God. Then I heard how many had been marked on the forehead. There were 144,000. They were from every tribe of Israel . . . . Then I saw an enormous crowd of people—far too many for anyone to count—from every race, tribe, nation, and language standing before the throne . . . . They were all loudly shouting, “Our salvation has come to us from our God who sits upon the throne, and from the Lamb” . . . . Where do they come from? . . . These are the people who have come out of the Great Tribulation.

The Jewish-led Church will be raptured before the Bowls of Wrath.
