Truth Over Trend Part 3


Genesis 1-2 – Creation! God and man in Paradise.

  • Mankind enjoyed the presence of God.
  • We experience only good (no pain, sorrow, suffering).

The closest English word we have for the Greek and Hebrew word “paradise” is resort.

Genesis 3-5 – Satan and sin enter.

  • Sin separates. That’s why Adam hid from God.

Romans 6:23 (NIV) The wages of sin is death [separation], but the gift of God is eternal life [union] in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Sin steals, kills, and destroys.

John 10:10 (NIV) The thief [sin] comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life.

Genesis 6-9 – Unrepentant world judged by water.

  • God rescues the righteous—repentant.
  • Judges the wicked—unrepentant.

Joel 2:13 (NLT) Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead. Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.

Genesis 10-11 – A “one-world” government forms.

  • Nimrod, Noah’s great grandson, begins conquering the earth.
  • Nimrod becomes the first king—antichrist—king of Babylon.
  • He builds a pagan temple—Tower of Babel—higher than flood.
  • Nimrod tries to remove God and establish a one-world order.

Genesis 12-Malachi – 12 Tribes/Israel God’s holy people.

  • God chose a nation to proclaim His name around the world.
  • To preserve a righteous linage for Jesus to enter the earth.

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John – Jesus enters the earth.

  • Jesus bridges the gap sin created (Forgiveness).
  • He offers us the gift of the Holy Spirit (Union).
  • He teaches us about internal connection (Fellowship).

Acts-Jude – 12 Disciples/Church God’s holy people.

  • A people of every tribe, tongue, people, and language!
  • A people to proclaim His name around the world.

Matthew 24:14 (NKJV) This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Revelation 6-19 – A new “one-world” system forms.

  • An Antichrist figure, like Nimrod, forms an alliance in order to remove God and be worshiped.

Revelation 6-19 – Unrepentant world judged by fire.

A purification of the world will take place after the church is removed.

  • God rescues the righteous—repentant.
  • Judges the wicked—unrepentant.

Revelation 16:9-11 (NKJV) Men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory . . . . They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Revelation 20 – Satan and sin exit.

Revelation 21-22 – New Creation! God and man in Paradise.

This is how the Bible reads, but this is also how you need to live.

John 3:16 (NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
