Philippians 3:7-9 (VOICE) I now realize that all I gained and thought was important was nothing but yesterday’s garbage compared to knowing the Anointed Jesus my Lord. For Him I have thrown everything aside—it’s nothing but a pile of waste—so that I may gain [win] Him [Christ].
We’re so used to God winning us, are we trying to win God?
Proverbs 8:17-19 (VOICE) I love those who love me; those who search hard for me will find me. Riches and honor are the benefit of following me; so are lasting wealth and justice. My reward is better than gold, even the purest gold; and my profit is greater than the highest quality silver.
How do we win God?
Hebrews 11:6 (CP) Anyone who is serious about the God-life, must stake everything on the fact that God is, and that He amply rewards those who make Him their quest.
Anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. – MSG

Mark 5:25–29 (NKJV) Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
Psalm 34:4 (NKJV) I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Matthew 6:33 (VOICE) Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things will be given to you.
Psalm 16:1 (VOICE) Protect me, God, for the only safety I know is found in the moments I seek You.
Step 1: Know God is real and your answer is found in Him!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV) “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Step 2: You also need to be real in your search for Him!
Philippians 3:14-15 (NKJV) I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind.
Genesis 32:24 (ABRV) That night a man wrestled with Jacob until daybreak. When the man saw that he could not win the struggle, he touched Jacob’s thigh and strained it. He said, “Let me go.” Jacob answered, “I won’t unless you bless me.” The man, who was an angel, said, “Your name shall be changed to Israel” (One Who Has Power With God).
